1931 Gee Bee Model E Sportster – 18.8in wingspan

$6.00

The early Gee Bee Sportsters offer a great layout for a rubber powered flying scale model and with an 18 7/8 inch wingspan, this design can be flown outdoors, or if built lightly, indoors as well.  This Gee Bee is a follow on to the Gee Bee Model C Sportster and the first Gee Bee powered by  a Warner radial engine and sporting full wheel pants.    The Townend cowled engine, classic Gee Bee scalloped trim  scheme and raked registration makes for a colorful and classic representation of the Golden Age of Air Racing.  Tissue print files which can greatly simplify and speed the finishing of this attractive model are available for download.
Qualifies to fly in FAC Scale, the FAC Thompson Trophy Mass Launch and FAC Golden Age Monoplane  events.
