1930 Gee Bee Model C “Myodine Special” – 18.8in wingspan

$6.00

The early Gee Bee Sportsters offer a great layout for a rubber powered flying scale model and with an 18 7/8 inch wingspan, this design can be flown outdoors, or if built lightly, indoors as well.  This Gee Bee is a follow on to the Gee Bee Model X Sportster, but offers a more straightforward landing gear construction.    The classic Gee Bee scalloped trim  scheme and raked registration makes for a colorful and classic representation of the Golden Age of Air Racing.  Tissue print files which can greatly simplify and speed the finishing of this attractive model are available for download.
Qualifies to fly in FAC Scale and FAC Golden Age Monoplane  events.

Description

Designed by noted Free Flight sport and scale model airplane designer Tom Nallen, this black and white plan includes full-sized top, side and front views of all components such that they can be built directly over the plan.  Stick and sheet balsa stock dimensions are indicated on the plan and all sheet balsa parts are printed full-size for use as templates in cutting out accurate parts to construct the model framework.  This is an Intermediate/Advanced-level model to build and fly and is a good follow-on to a high wing monoplane rubber powered free flight scale, or sport model.

Model construction plan fits on a single Architectural C (18 x 24 inches)  sheet.  Plan download or print options available.
