WK3 1935 Polish Light Biplane – 27in wingspan

$7.00

This obscure Polish civilian biplane from aviation’s golden age is an excellent subject for a rubber-powered free flight flying scale model.  Designed as a full-on FAC Scale model, this WK3 model placed 4th in FAC Scale at the 2022 FAC Nationals, its first major competitive outing.

Featuring lightweight yet robust box and former construction, the WK3 model is true to scale (scale rib spacing, etc.) with arguably better moments than its contemporary, the DH Tiger Moth.

The WK3 is an excellent choice for a competitive FAC Scale or FAC Golden Age/ Multiwing model.

Download package includes full sized construction plan (Arch D x 36in) and  a second 11 x 17 inch sheet with rigging diagram, cowl, cockpit, markings and registration patterns and more.

Description

Designed by noted Free Flight sport and scale model airplane designer Tom Nallen, this black and white plan includes full-sized top, side and front views of all components such that they can be built directly over the plan.  Stick and sheet balsa stock dimensions are indicated on the plan and all sheet balsa parts are printed full-size for use as templates in cutting out accurate parts to construct the model framework.  This is an Intermediate-level Free Flight Flying Scale model to build and fly and is a good follow-on to a rubber powered free flight sport model.

Model construction plan fits on a single Architectural D (24 x 36 inches)  sheet.  Also includes a second 11 x 17 inch sheet with a rigging diagram, cowl, cockpit, markings and registration patterns and more.
