Waco Standard Cabin – 30.25in wingspan

The 1930’s Waco Cabin is one of the most recognized civilian biplane aircraft of aviation’s golden age – and a proven great flyer in model form.  This sport-scale model for lightweight electric RC systems is designed in the classic, lightweight stick and tissue fashion (lightweight film coverings can also be used).   This Waco Cabin model is rugged enough to fly every weekend and exhibits  lively yet relaxed flight characteristics with an ability to fly slowly in smaller spaces.  With a 30 inch wingspan, it’s big enough to fly and see well, yet small enough to transport easily in smaller vehicles.  One of our best small-field RC flyers!

Designed by noted sport and scale model airplane designer Tom Nallen, this black and white plan includes full-sized top, side and front views of all components such that they can be built directly over the plan.  Stick and sheet balsa stock dimensions are indicated on the plan and all sheet balsa parts are printed full-size for use as templates in cutting out accurate parts to construct the model framework.  This is an Intermediate-level model to build and fly and is a good follow-on to a monoplane park flyer RC model..

Model construction plan fits on a single Architectural E (36×48 inches)  sheet.  Plan download and print options available.
