Texas A&M AG-1 Cropduster – 17in wingspan

$6.00

This is a lightweight indoor rubber free flight flying scale model of the first purpose-designed cropduster aircraft – the Texas A&M AG-1.  One AG-1 aircraft was built and flown at Texas A&M College in 1950.   With a straightforward box fuselage construction, this model is simple to build, yet well-detailed with excellent proportions for free flight flying scale.   A scale documentation package and tissue print pattern files are included in your digital download purchase along with the full size construction plan (Arch C size).

This model is an excellent flier with a number of contest wins and an average flight time indoors of ~60 seconds.   The model can be flown outdoors in light breeze conditions.

Qualifies to fly in FAC Scale  and FAC Modern Civil events.

Description

Designed by noted Free Flight sport and scale model airplane designer Tom Nallen, this black and white plan includes full-sized top, side and front views of all components such that they can be built directly over the plan.  Stick and sheet balsa stock dimensions are indicated on the plan and all sheet balsa parts are printed full-size for use as templates in cutting out accurate parts to construct the model framework.  This is an Intermediate-level model to build and fly and is a good follow-on to a high wing monoplane rubber powered free flight scale model.

Model construction plan fits on a single Architectural C (18 x 24 inches)  sheet.  Additional digital downloads included with purchase are: Scale Documentation package and tissue print files for scale color and markings.
