Willy Stor’s Messerschmitt M35b – 23in wingspan

$6.00

The Messerschmitt M 35 was a 1930’s German two seat sportplane.  In 1935, Willy Stor won the German Aerobatic Championship in a 160hp Siemens powered single seat variant, the M35b.  With its striking yellow and blue sunburst color scheme, Stor’s aircraft makes for a very attractive flying scale model.  These pre-war Messerschmitt sportplane designs are also good flyers.

With a 23 inch wingspan, this M35b model is easy to construct with a box and former fuselage and a simple single-strut landing gear.  Wheel pants and the radial engine details really dress up the model.

Qualifies to fly in FAC Scale and FAC Golden Age Monoplane events.

Description

Designed by noted Free Flight sport and scale model airplane designer Tom Nallen, this black and white plan includes full-sized top, side and front views of all components such that they can be built directly over the plan.  Stick and sheet balsa stock dimensions are indicated on the plan and all sheet balsa parts are printed full-size for use as templates in cutting out accurate parts to construct the model framework.  This is an Intermediate-level Free Flight Flying Scale model to build and fly and is a good follow-on to a high wing rubber powered free flight scale or sport model.

Model construction plan fits on a single Architectural C (18 X 24 inches)  sheet.
